On Board Boston Non-Profit

On Board Boston is an organization dedicated to teaching youth resilience, empowerment, and the importance of extended community  through skateboarding. OBB connects kids and young adults with mentors from various professional and academic backgrounds to serve as positive role models and support systems for those in our program.

OBB has working partnerships with multiple local organizations including Charlesview Inc based out of Allston, and the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute based out of Dorchester.

At OBB we believe skateboarding is a powerful tool that can shape one's life. Skateboarding builds communities, fosters independence, and encourages us to always get back up and try again after we fall.Skateboarding has been a  positive consistent in our mentor's lives and we believe that skateboarding can offer much to the youth in our program as well. OBB members have already made lasting connections with some of the kids in our program at Charlesview Inc. Skateboarding provided us a place to have larger conversations about school, empathy, respect, and the thoughts of our members.

OBB has partnered with local companies and organizations to achieve our goals. We are happy to have the support of Orchard skate shop, Max Hesh, and Protec. We also have a partnership with Suffolk University, who has awarded OBB a grant, New England Female Skateboarding, and Common Wheels based out of Allston.

OBB is a corporation currently in the process of becoming a 501c(3).

We are actively looking for future partnerships and support
